EBOOKS, AUDIOBOOKS, & MORE

Does the library have eBooks? Where can I find them?

The Annenberg Center has several collections of eBooks:

In order to access any of these collections from off campus, you will need your Chapin library card number. If you're not sure what your library number is, simply send an email to Ms. Oldham at loldham@chapin.edu.

What about audiobooks?

Sora also contains a small selection of fiction and nonfiction audiobooks.

Since Chapin's digital collection of recreational fiction and nonfiction books is rather small, where else can I find eBooks and audiobooks?

We recommend that all members of the Chapin community - students, their families, staff, and faculty - get a library card for their local public library. Whether you live in one of the five boroughs, outside New York City, New Jersey, or Nantucket, your local public library will likely have a robust collection of audiobooks, eBooks, digital magazines, music, and more. Once you have a public library card, you will be able to access all those materials from home!

Note: many public libraries require that you visit a branch in person to get a library card.

Here are links on how to apply for a card for the following libraries:
